Planning

EPRA's Planning division is responsible for enabling the revitalisation of land within the Redevelopment Scheme Area. This entails the preparation of a strategic and statutory framework to guide planning for sustainable, vibrant and high-quality urban environments.

EPRA Planning is also responsible for  managing development in each project area by assessing Development Applications and implementing the East Perth Redevelopment Scheme, Design Guidelines and Development Policies.

In addition, the Planning division incorporates EPRA’s Policy and Strategic Planning team.  Policy and Strategic Planning includes redevelopment strategies, policies and evaluation frameworks for corporate and project activities.  Key areas include sustainability assessment and evaluation, affordable housing, heritage, and public art.

Now open for public comment is the draft EPRA Redevelopment Scheme 2 (Scheme 2) and Development Policies.  Scheme 2 and Development Policies facilitate the planning and development control of each project area within EPRA’s Redevelopment Area.  The comment period will run until 12 October 2009
