The Arena Plaza is all about function and flexibility, catering to large Arena crowds while remaining an interesting, fun and useable space outside of event times.
As well as accommodating events, functions, exhibitions and displays, the Arena Plaza will be a great place to just hang out. This space will include trees, water features, benches and public art so is sure to be well-used by visitors, workers and residents.
A mixed-use building focusing on short-stay accommodation will be developed opposite the Arena. Milligan Street will be extended to accomodate bus movement between the new terminal and Wellington Street.
