The streets along the perimeter of The Link will receive a facelift and Wellington Street will become one of the best streets in Perth.
This street is currently a very car-dominated experience however redevelopment will revitalise it, making it people-friendly, while still supporting four lanes of traffic and a cycle way.
It will provide the perfect setting for a walk from the CBD to West Perth, with stalls, exhibitions and public art intermingled with benches, grassed areas and gardens. A highlight will be the 14 metre wide promenade with two rows of trees along the northern side, stretching from the Perth Arena to William Street.
