A key focus for the renewal of Roe Street is the reduced emphasis on simply trying to move cars quickly from one end of Northbridge to the other. Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to enjoy friendly, safe movement along wide footpaths and cycle paths lined by trees and benches. The footpath will provide plenty of room for north-facing alfresco dining, creating an atmosphere that truly merges the Northbridge flavour with the city centre.
