EPRA is currently undertaking a review of the specific guideline provisions for the Horseshoe Bridge Plaza Precinct as contained in Section 4.2.9 ‘Lot 10’ and Section 4.2.10 ‘Lot 11’. It is anticipated that revised provisions for Lot 10 and Lot 11, will be released for stakeholder and public comment in late 2009.
The Horseshoe Bridge Plaza precinct will be a physical point of reference in The Link and will provide an opportunity to define the locality as a primary destination in Perth’s CBD.
A key feature of the precinct is Celebration Place, a major pedestrian zone between the Perth Train Station, sunken bus terminal and William Street.
The precinct will be surrounded by office, retail, cultural and transit orientated land uses. At street level, shops, restaurants and cafes will contribute to an interactive pedestrian experience linking the city centre with the cultural and entertainment hub of Northbridge. Two-way traffic on the Horseshoe Bridge will link Roe and Wellington Streets.
