The draft Redevelopment Scheme 2 (Scheme 2) and 10 Development Policies will replace the existing Redevelopment Scheme and 43 Development Policies. Public comment was sought from 12 August to 12 October 2009.
This new planning framework will ensure a coordinated approach to development across EPRA’s Redevelopment Area including The Link, Perth Cultural Centre, Riverside, New Northbridge, East Perth Power Station and some parts of Claisebrook Village.
Scheme 2 is designed to meet the unique needs of inner city development and places a strong focus on sustainable urban renewal and planning for people.

Scheme 2 includes provisions for EPRA to prepare Development Policies for any matter relating to planning and development of the Scheme Area and requires policies to promote sustainable development and high levels of amenity.
